DTG
Customer Base Spreads to Ukraine

|
DTG
has once again increased the customer base of the Diamond Group with the
acquisition of a new contract to provide Finn Coating and Polishing Machines to
the Ukraine.
Finn
Coaters are already world-renowned, with hundreds in operation in the UK,
France, Canada, the USA, Chile, Brazil, Lebanon, Australia and Japan. They are
more efficient than traditional panning machines, and provide confectionery manufacturers
with a faster, more consistent result every time.
This
new contract follows on from a recently finalised French contract to see DTG
going from strength to strength into 2010. |
Autec announce new contract in New
Zealand

Autec, the newest member of the
Diamond Group, is now in the process of shipping its Vacuum Cooling machines to
New Zealand.
|
The
initial order is for two machines, which are to be used to chill freshly picked
mushrooms, with the hope of shipping more machines in the near future.
Vacuum
Cooling, unlike traditional cooling, is achieved by evaporating the slightest
amount of moisture from within the product (less than 3%, though this can be
further reduced by pre-misting), and has the effect of removing field heat and
sealing in the freshness.
With
Vacuum Cooling, vegetables stay crisp and flowers stay fresh, for longer,
increasing their shelf life. |
| Diamond help La Machine bring La Princesse to life!
Diamond
Precision Engineering is proud to announce its involvement in the “La Princesse Project”, part of Liverpool’s Capital of Culture
2008 Celebrations, in conjunction with Unusual Rigging.

|
La Princesse is a 50-foot mechanical spider designed and operated by French performance art
company La Machine. It tips the scales at 37 tonnes, has 50 axes of movement,
and a top speed of 2 mph. The spider also has seven different special effects:
rain, flame, smoke, wind, snow, light and sound. It took a whole year to
construct, and was assembled in a secret location in the Cammell Laird Shipyard in Birkenhead.
The
giant arachnid was described by many as the “highlight of the Capital of
Culture Celebrations”, and was so popular that plans are underway to secure
Liverpool as the spider’s permanent home. |

Diamond Precision helps Gwyneth Paltrow recreate hotel dressing room at home
The top floor of Connaught Hotel, Mayfair, is one of
the most exclusive spots in London, and has seen it's fair share of stars. Gwyneth Paltrow and husband
Chris Martin recently spent 7 nights in the luxury suite, and were so impressed
with the style of the room that they want to take a little piece of it home
with them.
It was the dressing table that caught the eye of the
actress, and she has commissioned a replica to be manufactured for her own
dressing room at home.
Gwyneth said: "I was stunned by the dressing
room. I ordered the David Collins designed white lacquered dressing table for
my own home."
Diamond Precision
Engineering manufactured the original centerpiece mirror for the table, and
will now also make an accurate replica, to meet the Hollywood star's
high expectations. |
